I work as the Clinical nurse specialist in Breast Care. I aim to provide information on all aspects of care from diagnosis through to treatment, ie surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This helps the patient to understand their disease, and their treatment options. I also give practical, emotional support and guidance to the patient and their families. I am here for the patients to discuss their fears and problems. I also help to coordinate the patients care with the other multi disciplinary departments and I am the link between Outpatient care and care at ward level.
